Company 5

Company 5, Deep Creek Volunteer Fire Department, is committed to serving the community and County. We strive to improve ourselves and our services and uphold values of Honor, Integrity, and Respect.

Company 5 was founded in 1994, making us the youngest Company in the County. Firefighters saw a need for service to the western end of the County and thus, the Deep Creek Volunteer Fire Department was formed. The station was built with funds obtained from the community and local businesses

Company 5 provides service to the citizens utilizing four pieces of apparatus:

• Engine 5 is a KME brand Renegade engine which holds 750 gallons of water and a 1500 gallon per minute (gpm) pump
• Tanker 5 is a 1999 Freightliner which holds 2750 gallons of water which serves as a water source for the rural area
• Brush 5 is a 2003 Ford F-350 with a mounted pump used for woods fires
• EMS 5 is a specialized unit which is set up to carry patients from isolated and hard to reach area to a waiting transport unit
